Meet our Volunteers

Background Shape

We couldn't do what we do with the support of some amazing volunteers.

Meet some of our volunteers, find out what they do and why they do it.

Driver - Alan

Alan is one of our regular drivers who gives his time every week to collect our patients so that they can attend the Wellebing services.
As an ex-military man he can always be relied upon to organise the troops and get the job done.
Driver - Anne

Anne is another of our drivers who drives our patients to and from their sessions here at the Hospice.
Out of hours she can be found on football pitches across the Valley, with her girls' team.
Reception - Celia

Celia is always on hand to step in when needed and can turn her hand to any task we ask of her.
She can most often be found on our main reception greeting visitors with her welcoming smile.
Even when not offically volunteering for us, Celia is usually at home crafting hand-made items for us to sell in our shops.
Fundraising Volunteers - Jan and Ita

Jan and Ita usually come as a double act and can often be found at collection days helping out with collecting your spare change. They also assist at pop up events like bake sales and local fairs where the Hospice has a stall.
Shop volunteers

These two lovely ladies helped make everyone's Christmas a little better by volunteering their time post lock-down in our charity shops. They focused incredibly hard on making sure everything was Covid-compliant and that the shop still looked amazing.
They carefully processed your donations to make sure they were all clean and prepped ready to be out on the shop floor.
Our shops wouldn't work without the dedication of people just like them.
Wellbeing Volunteers

One of the most important jobs at the Hospice is keeping our patients fed and watered and these two wonderful women do just that by volunteering during our Wellbeing sessions to prepare and serve lunches.
Needless to say, they are very popular with the patients!
