Care, support and relaxation during the day at Rossendale Hospice

Wellbeing Service

Our Wellbeing Service (formally known as Day Therapy) supports patients to help them deal with the physical, emotional and social impact of living with a life-limiting illness.

What is the Wellbeing Service?

Our Wellbeing Service (formally known as Day Therapy) supports patients to help them deal with the physical, emotional and social impact of living with a life-limiting illness.

We provide access to a range of services aimed at enabling each individual to maximise their wellbeing and quality of life.

What is Wellbeing?
Whilst Wellbeing is defintely a fun place to be, it does have serious intent and quality results.

We recognise that caring for someone with a life limiting illness is stressful for both the patient and those caring for them so a day at the Hospice provides patients with a change of pace and carers much needed moments of respite.
Our nursing staff can provide advice on symptom control, social support as well as arts and crafts sessions, quizzes, and trips out to places of interest, or simply to have fun!

You can spend the day doing as much or as little as you like.
There are always group activities but you can spend some quiet time with us too if you prefer.

You can discuss with your therapist which treatment would suit you best. A hairdresser and manicurist visit the Hospice regularly and we've even had visits in from four-legged Wellbeing warriors!
