Caring for someone in the final weeks and months of their life is challenging and demanding, but it is also an uplifting and rewarding experience.
We are looking to supplement our Hospice at Home team with ad hoc Healthcare Assistants (minimum qualification NVQ Level 2 Care) You will be required to visit patients within their own home, sometimes working alone, providing nursing care under the direction of the Clinical Services Team Leader.
Having an understanding of the principles of palliative care would be beneficial. Various hours and shifts will be available, sometimes at short notice.
Applicants need to be a vehicle owner with full clean driving licence. Employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS clearance. Successful applicants will be interviewed at the Hospice at a mutually convenient time.
