Working as a Healthcare Assistant caring for someone in the final weeks and months of their life is challenging and demanding, but it is also an uplifting and rewarding experience. We are looking to supplement our Hospice at Home team with
Ad hoc Palliative Support Workers
(Minimum qualification NVQ Level 2 Care)
You will be required to visit patients within their own home, sometimes working alone, providing nursing care under the direction of the Hospice at Home Team Leader. Having an understanding of the principles of palliative care would be beneficial.
Various hours and shifts including night sits will be available, sometimes as short notice. Shifts may also be available in Day Therapy
Applicants need to be a vehicle owner with full clean driving licence.
Employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.
Rate of pay £7.58 per hour plus enhancements for unsocial hours
