Did you know that you can also support us by shopping in Co-op?
All you have to do is pay a £1 to join their membership scheme. When you purchase Co-op products & services you receive 5% cash back to spend on further purchases and a further 1% is allocated to the charity of your choice.
Rachel Hall, Co-op area manager, told us “shoppers can become a member of their Co-op. They have an opportunity to make a difference simply by using their membership card when they shop with us, this will then raise much needed funds for charities who contribute to improve local life.”
So next time you are in Co-op Haslingden & Waterfoot please enquire about the membership scheme.

5 Valley schools raised a record amount for Rossendale Hospice in an entrepreneurial challenge.
The event, jointly organised by Rossendale Hospice supported by Baldwins and Alder Grange School, is in its 5th year. The five schools raised a combined total of £7,130.64 in this year’s ‘Youth Enterprise Challenge’.
The contest, launched in October last year, lasted 16 weeks and saw Year 9 & 10 teams from Alder Grange, The Valley Leadership Academy, Whitworth High, Haslingden High and Tor View school, all come up with enterprising initiatives to generate as much income as possible to be donated to the hospice.
Thank you to all the schools who took part and for the hardwork and effort that went into their fundraising.
