Would you like to join the Fundraising Team?
To assist Fundraising in all aspects of administration and support the team in raising funds for local patients with life limiting illnesses.
What hours can I do?
Weekly attendance and 4 hours minimum. The fundraising Office is open Monday – Friday between 9am – 5pm. Day/Time can be flexible as long as pre-arranged.
What skills are needed?
Excellent written & verbal communications with attention to detail.
Good computer skills
Ability to work well within the team
Ability to follow the charities principles & values.
Understanding of and sympathy with the charities overall aims.
What kind of tasks will I get involved in?
Volunteers currently help with many different tasks depending on their skills. Here is a list to give you an idea of some of the tasks you could undertake.
To help the Fundraising Team with basic administrative tasks to help the team engage with the community and raise funds. This includes updating our database with relevant information.
To produce thank you letters and certificates to give appreciation for our supporters generosity.
To help increase the reach of our marketing through stuffing envelopes which are then distributed.
Assist with banking donations through the counting of money whilst following the finance procedure.
To provide support to the team with photocopying/printing/laminating as required.
Assisting the team with securing volunteers for community events by telephoning volunteers and asking for their support
Stock checking items and required for fundraising.
Is there any training involved?
Mandatory training will be required and the fundraising team will provide training on undertaking tasks.
What if I am unable to attend?
The fundraising department can be a busy office with many volunteers on different days so we do require prior notice where possible.

If you have any unwanted gifts at home please donate them to the Hospice for use in our various raffles throughout the year. You can drop them off at the Hospice, we are open Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30pm. Thank you!
A huge thank you to all the staff and customers at Tesco Haslingden. Our collection days this week have raised an amazing £973. 94! Wow. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Thank you also to our volunteers who took the time to help on both days.
Our Day Therapy patients have been treated to a Christmas dinner this week with a special visit from Santa and his Elf! Merry Christmas to all our patients and their families.
Don't forget to wear your best Christmas Jumper this FRIDAY and make a £1 donation to the Hospice.
