Light Up A Life

This year’s Light up a Life service saw over 800 loved ones remembered in a special candle lit presentation held at St Mary’s Church, Rawtenstall.

Almost 400 people made dedications to remember their loved ones this Christmas, which has in turn raised almost £13,500 for Rossendale Hospice.

A touching rendition of ‘Make you feel my love’ was sung by Charlotte-May Tomlinson and Crawshawbooth Primary School Choir sang ‘You’re the Voice’ and ‘Power In Me’ whilst music from 2nd Rossendale Scout Band created an emotive atmosphere. The service was then lit up with the light of candles which shined brightly for those remembered, whilst guests took a moment to reflect.

The funds raised enable the Hospice to help local people and provide them the vital services needed on their journey of living with a life limiting illness.

This event is very special to many people and their dedications go further by making a huge difference to lots of local people.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, including our sponsors Fred Hamer Funeral Services.
