Ladies Christmas Lunch 2019

Over 170 ladies got into the festive spirit with a Christmas lunch at Nino’s Restaurant, Rawtenstall and raised over £12,000 for Rossendale Hospice.

The day was organised by the Special Events Committee and sponsored by CFH design.  The committee is a long standing group of fantastic volunteers who dedicate their time to this event.

The festivities got off to a thought provoking start, with a talk by Mel Fourie, who told her story of having breast cancer and why she joined the Special Events Committee.

Compare Julian Jeffery got everyone in the charitable spirit with a live auction and other festive fundraising.  Many prizes were donated to the event by local supporters which included a holiday apartment in Tenerife for 7 days donated by Heads Above, a beauty package donated by Luciella & Co, an Interior Designer voucher provided by Vicky Callan Interior Design and Soft Furnishings and a course of Dermaplaning donated by Anna at B Beautiful, plus many more. There was also a raffle with lots of prizes donated by local businesses.

The afternoon saw guests being entertained by ‘Dax on Sax’ who got everyone up and dancing.

The Hospice provides day therapy to people in Rossendale living with a life limiting condition including Hospice at Home. The Hospice at Home nurses care for people at the end stages of their life in their own home 24 hours a day, seven days a week and during the festive period.
