Turkey & trimmings eaten, fizz flowed and dancing to ‘Dax on Sax’ combined with a #MannequinChallenge all happened at the Christmas Ladies Lunch which raised £16,000.

On Friday, 188 ladies attended the infamous Ladies Christmas Lunch at Nino’s in Rawtenstall. Joe Casserly, a radio DJ on the Full Irish Manchester station got ladies bidding for auction prizes that included a week in the Lake District, a day at Aintree races, a dining experience at Nino’s and a make-up seminar by Frankie.

The event is organised by a group of ladies called the Special Events Committee, whose support is invaluable to the Hospice. The Hospice is delighted that the event raised an overwhelming £16,000, which is a reflection of all the hard work and efforts the SEC give to the Hospice. We would also like to thank all the ladies who attended for their generosity on the day.

The money raised will help fund the many services the Hospice provides to people in Rossendale including Hospice at Home. The Hospice at Home nurses care for people at the end stages of their life in their own home, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and over the festive period which is no different.

If you’d like to view the sixty second Mannequin Challenge on film please visit the Rossendale Hospice Facebook page.

The next Ladies Christmas Lunch will take place on Friday 1st December 2017 at Nino’s Restaurant - check back for more information about ticket prices nearer the time.
