Rossendale Hospice has teamed up with Rossendale Radio to share some love across the Valley’s airwaves this Valentine’s Day. Rossendale Radio will host a Valentine’s Day special on 14th February 2021 between 1pm and 5pm. In return for a £10 donation, anyone can dedicate a song, along with a special message which will be aired live on Valentine’s Day. People may choose to make a dedication to their loved ones, or a friend or family member to let them know how much they are appreciated.
Local companies use their business intelligence to boost revenue for Rossendale Hospice
A group of five businesses have successfully raised £2,300 for Rossendale Hospice in this year’s Business Challenge.
The businesses taking part included Rossendales Ltd, Chic Boutique Travel, Grow Your Mindset, Ivory Beau and Make! Ceramic Studio. They all went head to head to make the most profit from £50 investment over the course of a 10 week period.
The Business Challenge, launched in July this year and ran until October. The Awards ceremony was kindly hosted by Valley at Work as part of the Rossendale Business Awards on Wednesday 4th December.
Grow Your Mindset was awarded Investment Champion after successfully organising a raffle of which many local businesses donated prizes too. They also organised a fantastic evening of entertainment with a Bonkers Bingo night held at Marl Pits.
Winners of the other categories were:
• Make! Ceramic Studio won the Rossendale Free Press Award which was the official Rossendale Business award and the #RossHospice Award for their use of social media and actively increased awareness of the hospice.
• Rossendales Ltd won the Innovator Award through utilising what resources they had and turning them into a raffle.
• Chic Boutique Travel won the Community Conqueror Award by hosting another successful event this year.
• Ivory Beau won the Tiny but Mighty Business Award which went to sole trader Jodie Bulling who has won this award 2 years running.
The challenge was created to raise funds but also to bring local businesses together to support their local Hospice.
Thank you to all of the firms that took part in the challenge. Without the support of local people and businesses we couldn’t provide these vital services that are depended upon by so many families each and every year.
