Rossendale Hospice’s nineteenth annual ball, organised by the Special Events team, celebrated in style to mark the 30 year milestone of providing Hospice care in the Valley which raised an impressive £27,000.
Almost 200 guests were greeted at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester, with a toast given by Alan Keegan, the voice of Old Trafford, who welcomed everyone by asking the guests to raise their glasses and make a toast to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hospice.
Throughout the night guests were entertained with a show stopping affair by magician Tristan Malgeri, dancers from Dance Like No one’s Watching who performed to the ‘Greatest Showman’ and The Valley Hoopers who gave a mesmerising show with their LED hoops. Singers ‘So Diva’ had the guests hitting the dancefloor with their soul hits.
Auction prizes on offer ranged from a private dining experience, a JJO kitchen or bedroom, a holiday in a French chite and a holiday in Croatia with VIP access to the Hideout Festival which was kindly donated by Hayden Solicitors and W Gregory.
The icing on the cake was an auction prize of a fantastic black & gold leopard by Molly’s Creative Cakes which raised a show-stopping £1,000 and was filmed by Channel 4 series, The Extreme Cake Makers.
The night ended with a burst of confetti pouring over the guests as a fitting end to the celebration.
Sam Morris, Fundraising Manager at the Hospice, said: “This special event has grown over the years and the effort that goes into making this night enjoyable is down to the commitment and dedication of the Special Events Team and the guests who support it.
