BALL
Our annual dinner is the biggest single event in our
fundraising calendar and this year the event will be
held on Saturday 4th September 2010 at the Lowry Hotel
in Manchester.
The theme for the 2009 annual dinner was a ‘Cocktail
Ball’ and with a dress code of ‘neon and noir’ the
hotel was transformed into a sea of colour. The event was held
at the Fence Gate Inn on Saturday 13th June 2009 and raised
a magnificent £34,717 for the hospice funds. Neville
Neville (Phil & Gary Neville’s father) compéred
the evening and conducted our charity auction, followed by
a wonderful performance by ‘The Bar Wizzards’ the
world’s most famous flair bartenders and finalists on
Britain’s Got Talent Show in 2007 who entertained and
made cocktails for our guests into the early hours
The hospice is most grateful to all the members of our Special
Events Committee who play an integral part in the
organisation of this event, everyone who donated auction
and raffle
prizes and all our guests who made the event such a resounding
success.
